What is TSUMIKI

The practical part first: TSUMIKI is a single century-old house on 5,000 m² of grounds in Katori, Chiba, rented whole to one group of up to 14. It is also a place we are restoring by hand together with local children — which is what the three ideas below are about.

The name TSUMIKI comes from three words — TSU-nagaru (connect), MI-rai (future), KI-ds. Like building blocks, we line up varied shapes of experience, stack them, watch them tumble, and stack them again — together with children. The days you spend here may become one block in someone's future.
